Discipleship

Weekly Bible Studies

Men's Groups:

Tuesdays 6:15 PM

at Calvary Monterey

Saturdays 9:30 AM

on FB Messenger

Discipleship is an important part of DWELL On Truth, and Brenten is actively leading 2 men's discipleship groups. One is an in-person D-Group at Calvary Monterey on Tuesday nights, and the other is an international online Bible study usually Saturday mornings. Both groups are reading through the New Testament 1-3 chapters per week, and we discuss the chapters read using the inductive method of Bible study to observe, interpret and apply God's word. If you are interested in joining a group in 2021, please contact Brenten. More information about Discipleship groups at Calvary is at calvary.com/dgroups

Lena and Brenten started attending Calvary Monterey in 1997 and have been mentored by pastors and leaders over the years. We volunteered in many ministries (Calvary Kids, college and career, home fellowships, missions fellowship, worship team and Life Groups) and were sent out as long-term missionaries three times. We served as Calvary missionaries in Ukraine, Latvia and Hungary.

As missionaries from Calvary Monterey, we want to see "Jesus Famous" and we're on mission to "honor God, nurture believers, and proclaim to the world." which overlaps well with what DWELL stands for (Disciple believers, Worship God, and Evangelize the world with Love for God and Love for people). To ask Brenten to serve as a guest teacher, worship leader or evangelist in your small group, church, or event, please contact questions@dwellontruth.org with your request.

Currently, the Powers family is seeking to raise support as missionaries with Open Air Campaigners to partner with missions-minded friends and churches who want to see the gospel spread. The Bible asks, "Do soldiers go to war at their own expense?" and "those who preach the gospel should make their living by the gospel" that is supported by Christians and churches. You can make a difference by sending your support. The fruit of our outreach abounds to your account and increases thanks and praise to God.

We would love to make disciples, and evangelize full time the Monterey and San Francisco Bay Areas, but we need to raise $7050 per month for our family and ministry expenses.
