Brenten and Lena were saved in the early 1990’s when they heard and believed the truth of the gospel at different youth groups in Monterey County, CA. They met a few years later at a Christian concert. After getting engaged, they studied together at Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe (CCBCE) and God called them to missions in Austria, Romania and Germany. In 2000, they got married and served at Calvary Chapel Monterey, California until being sent as missionaries. Upon returning home from the foreign mission fields, the Powers serve as local missionaries in discipleship, worship, and evangelism with love for God and people through in-person meetings and multi-media outreaches.
DWELL on Truth was founded in June 2018, Brenten as an audio visual media ministry at Dwellontruth.org primarily funded by Brenten’s Audio Visual work in Northern California. However, when the pandemic closed doors to AV work, the Powers stepped through the open doors to join Open Air Campaigners, USA and have now been serving in the NorCal branch ever since.
Brenten served as an evangelist with church plants in Germany, Ukraine, and Latvia. He taught the Evangelism and Discipleship at CCBCE in Hungary and led students on outreaches to Austria, Israel, Latvia, Romania, and Ukraine before returning home at the end of 2014. Brenten occasionally preached open-air since meeting OAC missionaries in 2009 but has done so more frequently with Daniel Beaudoin (Director of OAC NorCal branch) and they have partnered together on radio outreaches in the Monterey Bay Area in 2019. In August 2020, after completing Sketchboard Evangelism Training and Orientation Candidate School in the Baltimore - Washington DC area, Brenten and Lena came on board as staff interns with OAC working toward being 100% funded for full-time service in 2022.
Lena supports Brenten behind the scenes, mentors women, and home schools their three children: Caleb, Lily, and Samuel ages 18, 16 and 10. Brenten's heart is to reach millions of unchurched people in Northern California, starting in the Monterey Bay and then 101 cities in the San Francisco Bay area. Our vision is to proclaim the Jesus-centered Gospel Biblically, faithfully and lovingly on the streets, beaches, radio, and internet, through audio and visual media in order to glorify God and see souls saved and added to the church. The Powers are trusting God for a fruitful 2-year staff internship with OAC and are seeking partners for full-time service. Feel free to explore their content and contact them for more information on how to partner with what God is doing through them.
